The average person should drink 8 glasses of water each day (1.5 to 2 litres) to maintain a healthy life style. As consumers, the health effects concern us knowing that drinking safe water is greatly reduced when you consider that 99% of contaminates is found in tap water. These contaminates are removed by the water purification process called Reverse Osmosis. At Thirst-stop we use a True 16 Stage Reverse Osmosis Water Purification System to produce our drinking water which is higher than most other equipments used and produces a safe, high quality, sweet tasting, premier drinking water.

For your interest we list the main stages of our water purification process.

IRON EXCHANGE - This pre-treats the water to remove brown iron and scaling minerals.

SEDIMENT FILTRATION - Removes silt, sand and rust particles.

ACTIVATED CARBON FILTRATION - Removes unpleasant tastes, odours. chlorine, THM's, volatile organic contaminates, herbicides and pesticides.

REVERSE OSMOSIS - This forces water under pressure through a special membrane which removes up tp 99% of dissolved solids such as lead, copper, sodium, nitrates, mineral salts and bacteria.

CARBON BLOCK FILTRATION - removes organic chemicals and then polishes the purified water for a superior taste.

ULTRAVIOLET STERILIZATION - Ensures during the final stages of purification that any remaining bacteria is destroyed. The water is then pumped into holding tanks and dispensed into the relevant bottle sizes for customer sale.
